If you’re completely new to eBay then there are a lot of terms and acronyms that you probably won’t understand right off the bat. I have decided to help you out a little bit by creating a list of the most used terms and acronyms in the world of eBay. Bid – The amount you’re willing to pay for an item.
Dutch – A type of auction where more than one of the same item is listed for sale.
Feedback – The rating system that eBay uses to determine how smoothly transactions go for both the buyer and the seller.
Mint – An item in perfect condition.
Non-paying bidder: A bidder who bids on an auction, then after winning it, does not pay for the item.
NR – The acronym for ‘No Reserve’. A listing where the seller has not set a reserve price.
NWT – The acronym for “New with Tags’.

There are a few others terms that I could have added to this list, but I omitted them due to the rarity that they are used. The terms listed above are the ones that you will most frequently come in contact with when using eBay.
The terms above will cover most listings, though there are niche specific terms that I did not take the time to mention due to the multitude of different eBay niches.
If you come across a term or acronym that you aren’t familiar with, your best option to finding the answer would be to do a search engine look up on the term. Odds are, if one person is using the term then several people are using the term and you should be able to find a definition for it.
Avoid using acronyms when you can. You should limit your use to only using them when your item title description is too long to fit the extra words in. A lot of new eBay users don’t understand eBay related acronyms and will most likely skip your listing for a listing without them in the title.
